Biomass production and minitoring of bioleaching processes
In this Ipre research, biomass production of bioleaching microorganisms will be optimized. This biomass will be used for innoculation and monitoring bioleaching processes in columns and/or biorreactors of chalcopyrite containing minerals. Development of a model of applications for displaying and analyzing social services
During the outbreak of social a range of social services (CESFAM, Pharmacies, Supermarkets, atm, etc) have been affected in its operation. Its users have been affected in a big way, since on the one hand don't know if it encentran available, their hours of operation and availability. The idea of this IPRE is to develop a model of mobile application, type SOSafe, that allows to search for the available service closer. The power to map the social services will develop indicators that allow to analyze and develop public policies targeted directly to meet the needs of the people.

Urban Mining - Valuable Metals Recycling from Dry Batteries
We will study the technical and economic feasibility of implementing a policy of recycling of dry batteries commonly used by on-Campus students. We will study the structures of the battery, its materials, we will develop a process of collection of batteries, classification, separation, and purification to get a product that could self-sustain the recycling policy.
