01-03-2022 Biomass production and minitoring of bioleaching processes
In this Ipre research, biomass production of bioleaching microorganisms will be optimized. This biomass will be used for innoculation and monitoring bioleaching processes in columns and/or biorreactors of chalcopyrite containing minerals. Planned work includes: Growth of iron/sulfur oxidising consortia at 37 and 50°C Biorreactors operation and leaching monitoring DNA extraction PCR for detection of species present on each consortium Bioleaching monitoring on columns and/or pilot heaps
