17-07-2020 Circular Economies in Local Communities
This research project proposes an exploration of the problems that local communities face in relation to waste management, recycling, use of materials and similars, as part of their community life. The objective of the project is to discover which are the central elements of these problems, characterize them and identify areas of opportunity to make a possible intervention using engineering, design and innovation as tools for social change. The project offers one vacancy, preferably for a student from the Major IDI interested in research, in issues related to sustainable design and the circular economy, and motivated to address local community problems. 16-12-2019 Erasmus project Plus THE PASSION
Erasmus project Plus THE PASSION is a project in which they will participate, during the first semester 2020, students from 4 countries (Chile, Brazil, Spain, Portugal). This IPRE is an invitation to students to UC to join an international team composed by 2 students of Salamanca, a 2, Polytechnic of Porto, 2 Instituto Federal de Goias, 2 of the Insitituto Federal Education, Science and Technology of Triangulo Mineiro, and 8 students DuocUC to work in a team using methods of applied research. Since March 2020, this team, together with students of the Major IDI of the school of engineering at UC, will join in the course DILAB to solve a social problem complex by means of methods of design, engineering, and innovation. The course is taught on Monday and Wednesday from 14 to 17 hrs and have to be present 3 Thursday between 13 and 14 hrs. Must have 100% attendance to the course.
