Seismic risk - Fragility curves for structural systems for coastal cities of the central zone of Chile
The objective of this research is to select the curves of fragility more appropriate to perform risk analysis earthquake-tsunami in the central zone of Chile. To achieve this goal we propose three main activities: (i) comprehensive review of the state of the art curves of fragility for types of structural scenarios and seismic chileans; (ii) evaluate scenarios of seismic risk in the commune of San Antonio and to compare the results obtained by using different curves of fragility; (iii) selection of the curves more appropriate for the chilean case. The student will be part of a research team of the Research Center for Integrated Risk Management of Disasters (CIGIDEN). This research team focuses on the development and update of the computing platform Disaster Research Workflow (DRW).
